Bloomsbury Associates has a special interest in the area of philanthropic giving. We love the process of discovering a client's passion for change in certain areas, finding the best ways for them to give, and seeing the transformation for both donor and recipient.

As part of our desire to inspire and educate future philanthropists, and show you what is possible, we have produced a short video about philanthropy in New Zealand. Here, you will see a snapshot of several exciting projects - just a wee taster of the hundreds of wonderful projects around New Zealand.

You will hear from both donors and recipients, giving you a window into the interesting and rewarding nature of philanthropic giving, and the life-changing transformation that happens in the lives of recipients.

Virtuoso Strings: A music programme which enables students from low-decile schools to participate in a fully-funded music programme. You will see musicians Toloa Faraimo and Avril Stil, parent and board member Paul Setefano, and donor Bob Barton.

Hohepa Trust: An organisation which funds a number of homes - and a school - for intellectually disabled people. You will see Hohepa Board chair Mark Boyle, donor Mark Dunajtschik, and a number of the residents at work and play in their Hohepa home.
